The hotel is very close to the train station and it's easy to get a bus to Nikko Heritage area and Kegon falls / Lake Chuzenji. The hotel also has free lockers for luggage storage, making it stress free for those on tight itineraries. Overall it fitted our needs perfectly. Rented a car and the location was really convenient; it was near most attractions in Chuzenji such as Kegon Falls, and was only a 30min drive via the winding 48-bend Irohazaka. Bus stop is just a minute away and a little town is charming. Close by you have Kegon falls too! To reach all most visited shrines is about 30min by bus. Please note bus goes through extremely mountainous road so be prepared! The property itself is clean etc, however I do agree with some comments that is missing it’s identity. Amazing lake view from the room, walking distance to kegon falls, and only a bus ride to Senjogahara. The onsen was nice and relaxing. It was a little small but was pretty quiet during our stay.
