Thanks to Alessandra at the front desk for her fantastic service and hospitality. The room she moved us to was outstanding. The bed, toiletries, towels, slippers, everything was superb quality. Housekeeping staff were absolutely fantastic, and so was bartender Luigi at the American Bar. Alessandra and Mandy at reception, and also the man at reception on the day I checked out, were all fantastic. Basically mostly everyone was fab, and the concierge guys are as usual absolutely fantastic, especially the man in the bowler hat (sorry did not get a chance to ask for his name) is such a lovely man. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

This place was amazing and had far more than I was expecting since the British Museum seems more widely known. I preferred the former over the latter but an important tip is to give yourself plenty of time to see what you're interested in, if you aren't going for the whole day. Our previous activity took longer than expected and we showed up to the V&A to hit a few key spots but were kicked out of the exhibits 25 minutes before the posted closing time of the museum. I wound up missing what I was most excited to see because I thought I had more time.

Free entry unless you are visiting its special showings. For those exhibits you need to prebook the day and time. Love the cafe with its old blue and white tiles but get there early as it does fill up.

A fascinating building with lots to see. Take a tour first to familiarise yourself with the layout and how the museum works. You will want to come back again and again. The cafe alone has great architecture. Little wonder it was David Bowie’s favourite museum in London!

Vast range of exhibits though some of them are hard to locate. You need to plan your visit. They would like you to pay for special exhibitions but there is so much that's free that you don't need to pay extra. There are lifts but they are somewhat hidden. Take sandwiches or spend £30 pp for light refreshments
