It is an absolute brilliant Hotel. I actually just wanted to stay for one night but I had to stay longer... My room was huge, beautifully designed and as thought through as a hotel room can be (It really had everything from nespresso coffee and fresh milk to nailpolish remover and hairstraightener )... The staff was very welcoming and helpful at all times and the breakfast was great.Highly recommend. One of the best Hotels I have stayed in so far.

Most of my life decisions were made in this hotel. From choosing what Uni I went to and my husband proposing to me here so it holds a lot of good memories . I even decided to apply for a job whilst taking High tea here! I love the facilities, and the view from our room was breathtaking. The service is impeccable ! Worth every penny ! We will be back for many years to come.

Location was perfect around the corner from waverly station.. room was more a city center studio loft with attention to detail that went above and beyond. (Cue beer fridge in the shower!) It even had a dishwasher in the little kitchen.. we wanted to move in! The roof terrace bar is world.class, everything is new and very modern.. but of a break from the period places which i sought out for this trip. Very very cool find, have been recommending to all who lill listen !

    There was a market there the day we were there - lots of...

    There was a market there the day we were there - lots of very different vendors - food, ceramics, wood carvings. We bought several items and had lunch at a restaurant nearby. Also went to Grayfriars churchyard, where Greayfrairs Bobby is buried.

    Outstanding location at Grassmarket Square near Edinburgh Castle, Royal Mile, good restaurants, tour buses, plenty of pubs and shops. Loved the complimentary chilled bottle of Brut, and the Scotch and cookies after a long flight. The light filled kitchen was fully stocked, including breakfast cereal and looking out the window was a peak a boo view of Edinburgh Castle above, and a garden area below. Our host David provided excellent directions and was available to answer questions.

    The hotel had a great location - a few minutes walk to the Edinburgh Castle, Grassmarket Square and Royal Mile. It was beautifully decorated and the rooms were clean, spacious and very well laid out. Definitely would recommend this hotel in Edinburgh city. It does get a little crowded in the street in front of the hotel (being in close proximity to the tourist areas), but overall it was a great stay.

    Location was excellent, right in Grassmarket with views of the castle. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and a lot of privacy in the pods. A lot of bathrooms available. Free breakfast was a plus as Edinburgh is an expensive city to visit. 24 hour access. The guy working on nights was extremley friendly.

    We had a two bedroom apartment with access to a courtyard garden. Just beautiful. Very clean, serviced each day. Location perfect for castle, grassmarket and royal mile. Couldn't have asked for more. Had breakfast at main building, Huxley restaurant very good.

    This is my returning stay and it was as wonderful as the first!! Nice hotel just a stone's throw from Haymarket station. Grassmarket and the Edinburgh Castle is walkable within 15 mins if you do so leisurely. The hotel is very clean and staff helpful. Sumptuous warm breakfast served. Would definitely stay here again should I return to Edinburgh

    The position is perfect for the city centre, to discover the old city (Royal Mile, Grassmarket, etc) but also the new city (Princess Street, George Street, etc). It's super close to the train station, you can easily find the bus and the taxis. Super helpful team who helped us organize a tour. I really appreciated the gym, fantastic!
