We were there just before the terrible fire and attended Sunday was with theBishop of Paris as the main Celebrant. The Cathedral was magnificent and the Mass was inspiring. We returned in August 2025 to an impressively restored Cathedral looking as if it had been built yesterday. The brightness allowed us to see so much more of the interior of the great Cathedral. We once again attended Mass, however, theBishop was that present. France has accomplished restoring one of if not the greatest Cathedral/Monument in the World. Well done!!

    amazing!

amazing! you must see the inteiror, pay a small amount for an audio guide . .. they will explain what happen on the fire and what was replaced and saved. You can get free time/date tickets only from the offical Notre Dame website (do not get from others, it will be fake). If you dont get the free ticks (15K free ticks gets sold out in minutes, you have to be lucky) ... you can stand in line with no tickets, and the line moves very fast. no worries, you will get in before 4pm.

I would recommend visiting Notre-Dame Cathedral for its stunning Gothic architecture and rich history. Although it suffered significant damage in the 2019 fire, efforts are underway for restoration, and the exterior remains an iconic symbol of Paris. You can admire its intricate façade, beautiful stained glass windows, and the famous gargoyles. The surrounding Île de la Cité offers charming spots to explore, including nearby Sainte-Chapelle, known for its breathtaking stained glass. Even in its current state, Notre-Dame is a must-see for its cultural and historical significance in the heart of Paris.

Note that at present you have to pay to use the toilets located off of the front courtyard to the cathedral. Come prepared with a credit card or 2 euro coins -- only coins were working the day I went. Bathrooms very clean so worth the price!

The hotel is in an excellent location close to San Michel Notre Dame RER B station and Notre Dame cathedral. The staff were helpful and friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was about a metre square but worked, just. It was a modern bathroom and the size of the room and bathroom would be typical for the centre of Paris. The room was quiet and the lift worked well. I was very happy with this hotel.

The location is the main plus point for this place. It is close to public transport, multiple monuments like Eiffel Tower, Notre dame cathedral, museum louvre etc. and lots of good restaurants & pubs. The apartment itself is good enough for 2 people (please if you have any child then this place is not big enough). Overall, it’s is ok property.

My fiancée and I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and we had a wonderful experience! The rooms were tidy and spacious. The shower was hot and the bathroom very clean. As for the location, this is the hotel’s greatest strength! We walked to several attractions, such as the Rodin Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, and even the Eiffel Tower! On top of that, the Luxembourg Gardens were just a few steps away! I really enjoyed it! I highly recommend it to everyone – couples and families alike!

There is a king-size bed. Restaurants all around the unit. The unit was very quiet inside. So much so we didn't know it was raining one day until we went outside. Bakery next door and little supermarket close. A bigger supermarket is about 10 mins walk. Public transport is close and about 1.5 kilometres to walk to notre dame cathedral. Although the unit is small, it has enough room to have open 2 big soft cover suitcases. There are also a lot of power points. Most importantly, it is on the ground floor and no stairs inside.

Lovely staff. Cute old building. We had a problem with our shower head which they fixed while we were out. It was our honeymoon and they give us a bottle of champagne. A few minutes walk from Notre Dame cathedral and the metro. Would have loved to be able to give them 10 out of 10.

  • Keep in mind this is Paris, crowds are a necessary evil.

Keep in mind this is Paris, crowds are a necessary evil. However, some spots are worse than others. We found that the most crowded places were the Notre Dame church and the Champs-Elysees (specially on the blocks nearest the Arc). For us, the jewel of the city is without doubt the Eiffel Tower, and luckily its gardens are so wide that the crowds end up spreading enough so that everyone has enough space, even for picnics (going up the tower is an entirely different matter, though!). Also, strolling the streets and parks can be less crowded, you just have to avoid the main streets near the main landmarks. Try the Luxembourg Garden or the Saint-Germain-des-Pres neighborhood.

Notre Dame is second to none, queues for the tower was very long, as was, the queue for confessions. Recommend going in the early morning and buying tickets for the tower in advance.

Go to the Islands: there you can walk along the river, eat in nice cafes, visit Notre Dame de Paris, look at marvelous orchids in La Maison de l'Orchidée. You will also find small streets and even parks there.
