The staff and service were excellent. The business center was amazing - free printing, 24 hour access, very convenient. (Also really appreciated having a small fridge in the rooms to keep left overs and midnight snacks in.)

    Old world charm and elegance in a perfect setting! Just opposite the Halifax Public Gardens with everything you could possibly want mere steps away. The staff were lovely and welcoming everywhere, hotel and restaurant. The prices at the restaurant were surprisingly affordable and the food was delicious. This was a delightful surprise experience and I cannot wait to stay at The Lord Nelson again sometime soon!

    The room was small but very functional. It was very clean, quiet, well appointed. Nothing was worn, it was well maintained. Our room had a view of the Halifax Public Gardens (beautiful place) tree tops across the street. There is a laundry room (2 washers, 2 dryers) on the 4th floor that is free to use. The hotel does not advertise this. Breakfast at The Arms Restaurant, next to the lobby, was excellent.
