Located in Udawalawe, NATURE HOUSE offers rustic accommodation with free WiFi access available at all areas. Rooms are comfortable, clean and fitted with a spacious private terrace. Very nice guesthouse managed by a sweet family who takes great care of you and the property. The food was excellent, and the safari experience we did with them too. They were very flexible to adapt things for us because of our 3 year old child. One of the best places we stayed in our 1month travel in Sri Lanka.

The location and the houses are amazing. You feel like you are in the jungle. We saw monkeys and pracocks in the garden and our house was really clean and comfortable. Also the terrace in front is great, and hammocks are available. The family is great! Communication beforehand was easy and fast, the owner welcomed us with a drink and organised our safari. The safari was also great - with a knowledgeable, friendly guide and a safe car. The owner cooked dinner and we loved it! You should definitely go for it once there. Also the breakfast was tasty and a lot, and we could enjoy it after our morning safari. We definitely recommend staying at wild river side, there's absolutely no reason not to do so.

The lodge is excellent, the best quiet environment I had in Sri Lanka, the jacuzzi tub is perfect for a dip after a long safari. The owner and staff are very friendly. The lodge also organized my private safari and my guide, driver Janaka, was excellent. I actually liked my Udawalawe safari better than the one I did in Yala.

We spent two nights at JML Villa Foresta with the family and honestly, it was the best stay we’ve ever had. From the moment I booked, the owner was in touch and super helpful. Even though he lives abroad, he made sure everything was taken care of and that we were happy. You don’t often see that level of communication and care. Getting to the villa is an adventure in itself. It sits right on top of a mountain, and the hotel provides both the off-road vehicle and the skilled driver you’ll need to get there. Once you’re at the top, the views are absolutely jaw-dropping and the weather shifts constantly, so the scenery feels alive and always changing. The villa is just beautiful. A mix of stone and wood that feels both rustic and luxurious. Everything was clean, cozy, and comfortable. Outside there’s a pool with an incredible view, and inside you’ve got a pool table, big flat-screen TV, and a sound system you can crank up without worrying about disturbing anyone, since the villa sits on its own massive 25+ acre estate. Total privacy. RSpecial thanks to Ravi, the host, who looked after us with such professionalism and warmth. He made sure we were comfortable at every moment. And the food? Honestly next level. The owner had told me they serve more than what you pay for, but I didn’t realize just how true that was until we sat down. Every meal was generous, beautifully presented, and delicious. The dishes just kept coming until we couldn’t eat another bite. If you’re after breathtaking views, complete privacy, amazing food, and a team that genuinely cares about your experience, this is the place. We loved every minute and would come back in a heartbeat.

The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed during our stay. The staff was very welcoming and made us feel at ease. There was tea and kettle for our use. Breakfast was waiting for us as we came back from early morning safari and it was delicious.

The Glenrock is located in Belihul Oya, on the southern slopes of the beautiful hill country of Sri Lanka. All rooms come with a flat-screen TV, and a seating area for your convenience. The facility is one thing but the staff, the complimentary aspects, the care and attention of everyone was fantastic. From the manager, to the driver, the restaurant staff, the chefs, everybody is kind, patient, hospitable and knowledgeable about the surroundings. It is a wonderful mix of comfortable stay with facilities and immersion into nature. The one hour massage, the yoga session, the tour in the village with the local guide were all extra perks that we enjoyed thoroughly. We even asked for traditional coconut pancakes for breakfast and the chefs prepared a delicious meal every time. They shared local snippets with us about the flora, fauna and culture of the region, we visited the temple and the rice fields, the school. The manager and the staff were always attentive with our needs and questions, they drove us and picked us up from the locations. We cannot recommend the place enough, truly! It's been the highlight of our three-week Sri Lanka trip so far. It is not just an accommodation, it's a story in itself 🙏♥️
