Very good location, you can ride the bike to temples. It was very clean and spacious that I was stunned with the price because it was affordable. We had the whole place to ourselves and aside from the complementary breakfast, they can also prepare your choice of lunch and dinner. I woke up very early in the morning to catch the sunrise and read a book at the roof deck it was very relaxing.

The food cooked by his wife was amazing—made with quality ingredients, prepared beautifully, and full of bold, authentic flavor. Easily one of the top three meals we had in Sri Lanka. If you're planning a trip to Anuradhapura or Mihintale to explore the sacred Buddhist sites, and you're looking for something authentic and off the tourist trail, stay in Mihintale. It's rich with temples and spiritual atmosphere. Stay at Janaka’s place, ask him for advice, and you won’t be disappointed.

Specially this place is very close to the town as well as the Sri Maha Bodhiya and Ruwanweliseya.

The resort is located in the nature, which means you have the possibility to experience and see different animals (especially birds). The pool and food was great. The owner organized a private bird watching tour at the Haparana lake, which was great and even for free. The owner even managed to organize 1st class tickets for a train ride from Kandy to Ella with short notice when everyone else failed to do so! The staff was extraordinary friendly and helpful! It is very rare to find a staff like this! We highly recommend this place and would be more than happy to return to this resort again.

Surrounded by ancient ruins and temples, Gamodh Citadel Resort offers you comfort with cosy accommodation by the garden or the pool. It houses an outdoor swimming pool and a library. Staff were so helpful and considerate ,both the manager and the guy who served us at restaurant. They even managed to prepare us breakfast the days that we had to leave before breakfast time. Tours they offer also have the best price. Swimming pool was very beautiful and large. Breakfast is great especially oat pancakes with coconut filling

Let me start with the room – it was fantastic! The amenities provided were abundant, and everything worked seamlessly. The water pressure in the shower was perfect, the air conditioning was blissful, and the television functioned flawlessly. Plus, the beds were incredibly comfortable. The room's design was outstanding – there wasn't a single flaw. I truly loved every detail! Kudos to the entire team at Whitehouse for their outstanding work and impeccable service.
