Be sure to order the lunchbox since it’s a long way and there’s only 1 place to eat along the way after 3 km. The location was good and the room was clean. Certainly would recommend to anyone.

Located in the sacred Mount Koya area, 高野山 宿坊 桜池院 -Koyasan Shukubo Yochiin- is a historic temple and an accommodation for visitors. The evening meditation, sutra writing, and morning prayer service, were amazing. Talking with the monks was very interesting; about the temple, Buddhism, and their personal experiences. The dinner and breakfast were also great.

The decor and lighting was really cool, and it was very helpful to have so much space and laundry machines inside the room. The onigiri and vegan ice cream cone were also really good!
