It was very unique experience. This very charming traditional Japanese ryokan is within short distance from the train (or bus) station. Everything was clean and well organised there. We spent really very relaxing enjoyable moments there. It feels all very authentic (including delicious Japanese dining) and the stuff is also very friendly and welcoming. 100% worth it!

A 5-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Tawaraya offers Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. The property was very cosy, it was a lovely experience to stay in an original ryokan, and have a quiet time in the onsen. The staff was extremely kind and friendly, and the location was just a short walk from the train station.

At Daymaruya Ryokan, guests can enjoy hot-spring baths and traditional Japanese-style accommodations with free wired internet access. The owner was super sweet and helpful (driving to the monkey park and the train station). The onsen were great, the private onsen was almost all the time available! A spacious room and the little town felt like a little fairytale (it was snowing when we were there).

Aburaya Tousen offers luxurious contemporary Japanese-style accommodation with an amazing 11 types of hot-spring baths and free WiFi. I enjoyed everything the whole experience is amazing. starting with welcoming drink and sweet, and we pick a Yukata. They explain everything and guide us to our room. the staff were extraordinary, super friendly and polite They will go above and beyond to help you. we got upgrade to bigger room, the private hot spring bath was awesome with view on the river. I like the private dining room, they me our special dietary request, the food was so delicious, the chef prepare sushi / egg infront of you it was fun experience. The owner came by herself to greet us and to say goodbye when we were leaving. They even took us to snow monkey park and the station for free. Thank you to all staff I really appreciate all efforts to make my stay unforgettable. I am for sure coming back again.

Absolutely a gem!!! Food was one of the best in the entire trip to Japan. Some staff spoke English and went out of their way to make the experience memorable. The onsen is natural hot springs with nice sulfur smell. Loved every second of this place. Would happily return.

Amazing property with even more amazing staff. We stayed for two night during our honeymoon and couldn’t be happier with the experience. It was an authentic yet luxurious Ryokan. Our room was beautifully decorated, spotless and it even had its own onsen. The food was exceptional and the staff was very well trained and extremely friendly. Highly recommended this hotel and would love to go back on day.

Staying here was a truly relaxing experience. The private onsen was a highlight, complemented by the beautiful space and friendly service. The living room and patio offered stunning views, creating the perfect setting to unwind. The location was also ideal, being close to the base of Monkey Park and the bus stop. Directly connected to the slopes of Okushiga Kogen Ski Resort and within a 1-minute walk from the Lift 1, Hotel Grand Phenix Okushiga provides a convenient ski-in/ski-out access. Incredible service and incredible overall experience. It's like staying in a fancy cabin in the snow. The lounge area with the giant fireplace is awesome, very nice food, very spacious rooms and first class facilities such as the onsens and indoor swimming pool. The decor could be interpreted as dated (as other reviews have stated) but we felt this simply adds to the warmth and cosiness of the establishment. The service here is seriously next level and it is fantastic value for money.

Menawarkan akses ski di depan pintu, Villa Alpen terletak di Yamanouchi di kawasan Nagano, 13km dari Taman Jigokudani Monkey dan 22km dari Taman Ski Ryuoo. Authentic Japanese experience. This is a family-run hotel with various offered services. Ski renting and lesson can be done at the hotel. Ken is truly an amazing teacher. Very patient and encouraging. We booked 3 lessons with him and very satisfied. As for food, we opted for half board option and find that the dinners, in every nights we stayed, are delicious and nutritional. Ski-in/ski-out is very convenient. The ski lift is right in front of the hotel. The Sun Valley area is also great for both beginner and intermediate skiers with green/red/black slopes in one area. On weekdays, there are almost no people there, which is nice if you want to practice or learn to ski. The bus stop to the city and other areas is only 100m away. The 24-h onsen is perfect after a tiring day of skiing. The family's hospitality is unmatched. I broke my glasses and Captain helped me fix them :) they literally have everything. Highly recommend!
