The location is great, only a 10 minute walk from Kyoto station and close to other public transport. We walked to most of the main attractions. The staff was very helpful and everyone spoke very good English so it was easy to communicate. Our breakfast was cooked with care each morning, making it a great start of each day. We would definitely come back!

The staff were wonderful - we had to reorganize our check-in time several times, and they were really nice and helpful. They even helped us send our luggage straight to Tokyo and were very attentive about a gluten allergy one of us has. The food was a solid 10 out of 10. We had an outstanding dinner and a traditional Japanese breakfast with all the small, beautifully presented dishes.
