The room was amazing, big with comfortable beds while the private onsen is a must try. With no doubts the best place we stayed in during 3 weeks of traveling in Japan.

Shower/hot tub room is big with very nice toiletries. We really like the shampoo and conditioner provided. Kitchen and laundry facilities are great. The stairs to upper level room is steep. typical old Japanese house, not much problem for us but people with knee problems should take note on this. Kenrokuen garden is walking distance but we need to walk up the hill to reach the park. We rented Noah mpv for our trip and the parking space is just nice to fit the car

Everything was spotlessly clean. Our host met us and explained how everything worked. It's in a quiet residential area, about 10 mins walk into town.
