The staff was so friendly and helpful, even with the language barrier. They really went beyond! Stayed in the single room, it was minimal and clean, with all needed. Was able to use the sauna and onsen, at no extra charge. The location is amazing, with an amazing view. The terrace view is breathtaking! However a little outside of town, so might be hard to get access to without a car/bicycle. The shared bathroom was extra clean, and the onsen was amazing, with several free amenities. If you're travelling alone, the single room is a great option!

Onishiya Suisyouen offers beautiful hot-spring baths, a sauna and Japanese garden beside the Maruyama River. The rooms and baths are beautiful. It's nice that the thermal baths have an internal and external part. Beautiful indoor garden, nice yukatas. We felt very spoiled in this hotel. Dinner and breakfast were huge, even too much, it's a shame to waste so much food. Transport to the center and stations on request. The staff was so polite that it almost made me feel stupid (women carried our suitcases for us). I highly recommend staying at this property.

Excellent restaurant. We had a room with a spa and it was very private and peaceful. After dinner we lit the outdoor fire and listened to the sounds of nature. It was a great experience. Again, the restaurant was incredible.
