Antica Mateola terletak di Matera, 2.1km dari Matera Cathedral dan 2.1km dari MUSMA Museum. We really enjoyed our stay! The host was super friendly and gave us helpful maps and tips on what to see and where to eat in Matera. The room was small but very cute, comfy, and super clean. Breakfast was included, and there were also extra drinks like coffee, juice, milk, and water at the entrance. Would definitely recommend!

L'Hotel In Pietra offers unique rooms set in the Matera Sassi area, a UNESCO site. All rooms and suites have free Wi-Fi and a laptop is available on request. Breakfast is buffet style. This "room" is beyond description. It's basically part of an old church (800 AD to the late 1600s) and your bed is located in one of the apses with a very high ceiling. It's all stone/rock and the room is exceptionally silent. On the second "floor"/mezzanine in the room there is a huge jacuzzi with a light show. There is also a terrace (which you reach by climbing out an old window-turned-door and with a fantastic view of the cathedral. The room is very clean and there is a small minibar. Breakfast is served in the main church building and is adequate. This room cannot be compared to anything we have ever seen and is perfect for romantically oriented couples! Since Matera is very hilly we asked for a ported to carry our luggage to and from the hotel from and to our taxi (we arrived by bus). The staff was very helpful.

This was a truly unique experience to be transported back in time. The staff was so welcoming knowledgeable and beyond kind. This was most definitely one of the best experiences of my life.

Well designed and thought-out (USB ports next to the beds etc). Excellent view from our terrace to the hillside opposite, it was magic at night time. We left our car at Welcome Matera parking for 2 nights (pre - book online). It was a short walk from there. Everything was perfect.

The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. You are in the Sassi and centrally located. The owner, Giuseppe, and his wife, were the best! From the moment we registered online, he sent notes on Whatsapp to me telling us where to park, how to take the bus, directions to walk with pictures and instructions. All was very helpful. He got us dinner reservations at Pico and it was marvelous. I left my hat at Pico, and he arranged to get it with the owner of Pico…a great effort!!! Thank you Giuseppe for a great stay!

Perfect location minutes from centre. Garage parking directly opposite 10 euros per day. The accomodatuon itself is spotless and of high quality with everything you could possibly need. The lovely ladies who run / own the hotel despite language barrier could not have been more helpful or attentive. Well deserved 10 out of 10 for everything. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Marera.
