The cave bedroom was an exceptional experience. We were lucky as it was the Festa della Bruna in Matera, it was also a wonderful experience to see this spectacular festival. We even saw the firework display from our room.

They gave us a map and explained how to reach all the nearby attractions. They also recommended some great places to eat. In the morning, they brought us fresh croissants, and there was aromatic coffee available at all times – what more could you need for a romantic getaway? The ancient city of Meteora isn’t too far, and we had free parking right in front of the property, so we’re more than satisfied. We’d love to visit again! Thank you!

Set inside the Matera Sassi UNESCO site, Corte San Pietro is housed in a renovated historical building carved out of stone. It offers rooms with a private entrance and free Wi-Fi throughout. Excellent location at the heart of the Sassi (old town). Hotel is also along the road so accessible by taxi. The staff was extremely accommodating in helping us with dinner reservations and transportation. Breakfast was delicious and our rooms were replenished with fruits daily.

Location was just right, not too far from where our transfer dropped us off. Our room’s private balcony has a great view of the sassi.
