Offering a year-round outdoor pool and located at the edge of Lake Atitlán, Hotel Toliman is set in San Lucas Tolimán in the Solola Region, 45 km from Antigua Guatemala. This is a gem. One of our favorite places to stay over 4 months travel to Central America. The location is amazing, in a small town that sees very little tourism, at the foot of Attilan volcano and right on the lake. The grounds are gorgeous, with a lovely pool and fantastic organic garden and plenty of hammocks. The restaurant is fabulous, we loved everything we ate, from the well served breakfasts to tasty and fresh salads, soups and fish, with almost everything sourced in their own organic garden. The staff are all kind and helpful and very well trained (the waiters also double as guides for the hikes which is nice). There seems to be real pride in working here.

Offering a restaurant and a private beach area in Atitlán Lake, Hotel La Casa del Mundo is located in El Jaibalito. Free WiFi access is available in all areas. Everything was magnificent. The views, all the nooks and crannies, the food, the access to the lake water, and the plant in flora life surrounding it all. It is, by far the nicest place i've ever stayed.

Offering an outdoor pool and a hydro-massage hot tub, Tzampoc Resort is located in Santa Catarina Palopó. If you’re on the fence, book this place! This was an incredible hotel. While the photos online are great, they really don’t do this hotel justice! I stayed in the suite and had incredible volcano views with awesome sunsets every night. The pool area is heavenly, the restaurant has really good food, but what really makes this place is the incredible staff. Super attentive, always willing to help, give recommendations, and make your stay as pleasant as possible. The hotel only has seven rooms total but when I was there it seemed it was only half full (which is very surprising), so if you’re looking for peace and solitude with insane views and a pool and grounds to match, this is your place. Big shoutout to the staff who helped set up transport to the airport and dealt with my many questions! Cannot wait to come back! I’d stay here over Casa Palopó any day.

Atitlan Sunset Lodge Apartments are located on the shores of Lake Atitlan in Santa Cruz La Laguna and boast excellent volcano views. Free Wi-Fi and kayak use are provided at this property. All of it, amazing view above all.

Hotel Atitlan, located in front of Lake Atitlán, is a rustic-style property offering extensive gardens and panoramic views of Atitlan Lake. It has an outdoor pool, hot tub, and a botanical garden. A beautiful and breathtaking property with immaculately manicured grounds and a wonderful view, I had such a lovely stay. The staff are great, the rooms are fantastic and the food at the restaurant is 10/10. In my opinion, great value for money considering you are staying at one of the best hotels on the lake. Lots of intricate touches and love the history of the grounds. There’s also amazing wildlife onsite! Would recommend to all and would definitely stay again.
