Close to the centre of Saumur, the hotel Anne D'Anjou is overlooking the river and has a view of the chateau above. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. The location is stunning, and the renovation has been done with incredible taste and attention to detail. What truly made the experience exceptional was the warmth and care of the staff — they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A special touch that stood out: they had dog treats and a bowl of water waiting for us upon arrival. That was a first, and it meant a lot. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We were pleasantly greeted, even though we arrived at 00:30 due to our travel schedule. The hostess took care of everything and is the perfect host. Everything was arranged in an orderly and accommodating manner. The room was very clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Breakfast was enjoyable, and the overall atmosphere of the accommodation was very pleasant and relaxing.

A beautiful property and charming family hosting. They were welcoming to dogs, and because of our lack of planning, they graciously allowed us to join a delectable evening meal that was being prepared for other couple who were also guests. Everything was excellent, and we'd recommend to anyone making the drive between the north and the south of France. We wished that we spoke more French to be able to communicate better with the host parents who live on the property and who welcomed us and prepared the meals. That said, our lack of French in no way impeded our ability to coordinate.

Beautiful chateau full of heritage. Very lovely staff. Interiors of the chateau were well preserved and filled with character. The bed was really comfortable and we slept very well. Also, the host were super friendly and helpful. We could arrange an arrival time and were able to text 30 mins in advance the arrival. Everything was perfectly set up when we arrived.
