I had no real desire to go to Las Tunas, but after backpacking around Ecuador and Peru for a while, all of the favorite people I met on the road seemed to have the exact same recommendation: Go to Onda Hostel. So I texted the hostel owners on Whatsapp, where they proceeded to be somehow genuinely interested in answering my millions of questions over text before I arrived, arranging for transport, and even picking me up a massive guanabana just because I casually mentioned once I'd like to try it. The beds are comfortable, the A/C is cool, and the coffee is endless, but it's truly the people that make this place great. The owners are passionate about building a community and they instill that same stoke in their volunteers. If you're looking to stay in a place with some atmosphere, there is none greater in the Americas. I booked at this hostel for two days and stayed on for weeks, only leaving because I had to. To my new friends that I've made at Las Tunas - Thank you, and I'll be back soon!

With a perfect beachfront location facing the Pacific Ocean, Hotel Oro Verde offers neatly decorated rooms with free WiFi, just 2 km from the Eloy Alfaro Airport. The people it’s beautiful at attending the hotel and have wonderful places how swimming pool and the habitations are comfortables. The breakfast it’s pretty good because all the food. Excellent stay.

The condominium was on the 14th floor and we had a beautiful ocean view from our bedroom and the balcony. The owner of the condominium was incredibly nice and helpful. We ate breakfast poolside at the hotel restaurant overlooking the ocean or we walked a short distance to a really good restaurant in a shopping plaza down the street from the hotel/condominiums.
