The welcome! Marc was wonderful and so jovial when we came in. He showed us around the common area downstairs which was equipped with their full kitchen that we could use to cook under Cathy's "supervision" and a sitting area. We also found out we had our own private entrance in the back and access to a washer and dryer and an extra bathroom (WC) in addition to the one we had in our room. Marc led upstairs to the room which was an elegantly converted attic with a sink, a shower with a toilet, a large bed and two small ones. All in one room. There was an expresso machine that he replenished every day, tea bags, chocolates outside of the room and a water bottle, glasses, and MMs for the kids. Outside, they have hens in a closed-in area and a nice cat whom they call "the real boss of the place." Their garden in the back is absolutely beautiful and very nice to hang out on the patio and deck where you can picnic or eat and drink at a large table with plenty of chairs and a nice parasol. Loved every minute of it.

If you come here for anything at all, come for the breakfast. it was amazing! It's like walking into a true feast, a long big table in the large but cozy dining room, decorated with candles and seasonal decoration. Eggs are perfectly made to your liking in the big open kitchen and set next to your plate while still in the pan, so you can scoop it out whenever you're ready to eat it. The breakfast was a true display in hospitality and a reflection of the overall experience of our stay. The loft where we stayed was nice and spacious and displayed a high quality of materials used. When asked if we could stay beyond the check-out time in order for us to get some work done, it was accommodated immediately and we where invited to come and fetch coffee from the kitchen whenever we so wanted. I could not recommend staying at Domein Den Buiten more highly. I am confident that you will be welcomed warmly by these amazing hosts.

Communication with the host was smooth and super friendly, and the apartment was just wonderful. The location is perfect — tucked away at the end of a quiet street in a peaceful neighborhood, which we really loved. We stayed with six adults and two small kids, and it was just right for us. Everything in the house is high quality — the beds are really comfortable, the bathrooms are spacious, and you can tell the whole place is very well thought out. We especially loved the big kitchen and the cozy spaces to relax and hang out together. The outdoor area with the hot tub was amazing too — we spent a lot of time there enjoying the peace and quiet. If you’re looking for a calm and comfortable stay close to nature, but still not far from lovely cities, this is the perfect spot. We’d definitely love to come back!
