Set amid the wonderful Alpine landscapes of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, this traditional 4-star hotel offers elegant rooms and excellent spa facilities. The hotel’s location is fantastic – just a short walk to key attractions, shops, and public transport. It’s perfect for exploring the city. The breakfast was okay, but nothing special. Limited variety and not very memorable compared to similar hotels. Still, I’d recommend this hotel for anyone prioritizing location over extras.

The 4-star superior hotel has been family-run since 1634 and offers an indoor swimming pool, various saunas, steam baths, a children's playground and a cosy lounge. Great staff in the hotel, restaurant, and spa. The family suite was very quiet. The food in the restaurant was great. Jesica from the Spa delivered a great massage. Front desk staff are all very helpful and knowledgeable about the tourist spots around Garmish. The hotel is dog friendly. We had a great time!

Appartements Gladbach is located in Heiterwang in the Zugspitz Arena Ski Area, 1 km from Lake Heiterwang. It offers free Wi-Fi and a spa with an indoor pool and an outdoor hot tub. The structure is wonderful, the staff is charming and always present or reachable to help.

Surrounded by the Tyrolean mountains, the historic, family-run Hotel Spielmann is located in Ehrwald, a village at the foot of the Zugspitze mountain. Excellent food, location, clean and fantastic spa and wellness facilities

Pension Posthansl offers rooms with balcony in Heiterwang in Tyrol’s Zugspitz Arena. Many ski slopes, cross-country ski runs and hiking trails are nearby. Great location, friendly staff and a good breakfast.

This privately owned Alpine-style design hotel is located in the centre of Oberammergau, 700 metres from the Passion Theatre. Hotel Maximilian offers design rooms and a spa area. The room was large, comfortable, quiet and with nice furniture and decoration. The bed was really good. The bathroom was big and nice, although we took some time to find the way to lower a curtain which closed the view of the bathroom from the rest of the room. The location was convenient, and the parking place closeby and not too expensive. Breakfast was excellent. The staff, apparently made of a single lady not always on the premises (but we were definitely during the off-season), was extremely nice and friendly. Everything worked OK.
