It is difficult to describe the good vibes at this place… it feels like home or visiting family with a first class mountain view. The care and hospitality is tangible at Valter & Drita’s - John and Mary are exceptional hosts and the food produced in their mother’s kitchen is fantastic and you can taste the love. The homemade pickle salad and cheese pie were so good! All the food was outstanding - simple but really tasty. Breakfast is buffet style and caters to savoury and sweet palettes. Great coffee and Mary and John will cater to any dietary requests happily. Evening meals on the terrace with jaw dropping views were a real highlight after a day hiking in the beautiful region of Theth. The stars and moon are so close as the property is located high on a mountainside. It’s a very private sanctuary. The room was spotlessly clean, linen was lovely and the bathroom facilities were great. This place ticks all the necessary boxes re facilities but the people are what make a stay memorable. Go and visit these people - you won’t regret it. Two nights was definitely not long enough for us and we hope to return again in the future.

Great breakfast each morning (Albanian pancakes, sausage/hot dog, lots of fruit options), as well as dinner here on site. It was really good food so we just chose to eat here multiple times vs. other places. The location is extremely central. We stayed in the XL villa and it was absolutely perfect for our family of five (3 large bedrooms, all with facilities (air conditioning, hot water, etc.) that worked well.

Value for money including a generous breakfast to fuel we fools who trek the 1000m to the Valbona Pass. The views all round were superb. There was one young lady on staff who had super English and could not have done more to help. I even showed her how to make a Gin and Lemonade for my wife. Just lovely.

We had the very BEST stay at Guesthouse Marashi! It was our honeymoon and they decorated our room for arrival. They made sure that we had everything we needed as we were late to arrive. The room was beautiful and with the most stunning views of the river and mountains. The family was so friendly and had such a warm feel-Theth is the most amazing place. We booked dinner at the guesthouse and it was by far our favorite meal in Albania. Thank you all and can’t wait to come back to this special place one day!

Great location, centrally located within the village, close to the bus "station", and a good starting point for both the Nderlyse and Valbone hikes. A couple of supermarkets nearby. Kitchen was not open for dinner in the evening but the breakfast buffet was wonderful.
