I liked the tranquility of the place. It also had everything we needed and more. I was just amazed with the attention to detail. This place truly lacked nothing. And waking up to the sound of the birds with the beautiful mountain view was the best. Sue was very helpful, and having a chat with her husband when we left. Giving us a bit of his future plans was quite exciting to hear. We really loved his friendliness and concern about how we enjoyed their beautiful space. Will definitely return when they have expanded their property.

Location was key for us as we had a team competing in W2W, the cottage was perfect! The outlook over the fields with the impala and springbok was magic. Unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy the hot tub but it was beautiful!

Our room was just superb - large, clean, modern and stylish with a great view over the ocean. In addition to tea/coffee, there were complimentary cookies and Lindt chocolates (a small thing that makes a difference!). We also loved the breakfast - very special toasts and muffins freshly made by Linda were unbelievably tasty. We stayed at other places in Hermanus before, and can reasonably say that Ridge House is the best. Highly recommended, and we plan to be back for a little longer stay!

Located in Hermanus, 7 on Marine is a only a few steps away from the seafront. The guest house boasts a hot tub and sauna. Free WiFi is available.

I don’t even know where to begin describing the wonderful experience my family and I had staying at VillaChad Guesthouse. The hosts were incredibly attentive and communicative, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was absolutely flawless. The property stands out for its impeccable taste in decor and the organization of the spaces, featuring spacious rooms and excellent bathrooms. The breakfast, lovingly prepared by the hosts, was another highlight, making each morning a delight. The surrounding area is full of attractions, and the R44 route is an absolute must-see. I highly recommend VillaChad Guesthouse to anyone and can’t wait for the opportunity to return, hopefully for a longer stay to enjoy even more of this fantastic place!
