This place has a certain special connection to the spirit of Iceland because it is so close to Dimmu Borgir and to so many places included in the Diamond Circle. We enjoyed the confy bed, the food and...most of all...the cod!

We stayed in the hotel 2 nights and we liked it a lot. The hotel is situated next to the beautiful lake Myvatn. There’s a free parking area next to the hotel. The rooms were clean and tidy. The food was always freshly prepared. We spent the evenings playing darts 🎯 and drinking their craft beer 🍻 I would like to thank the staff of the hotel. Everyone was friendly and helpful with smiley faces. We didn’t use the sauna and hot tubs but they looked nice. A nice compliment was free coffee and tea any time you wanted in the lobby. I recommend this hotel everyone who seeks for comfort and hospitality.

Amazing hospitality. They allowed us to stay hours before the check in due to the bad weather conditions. Then when leaving our car was stuck in the snow and they helped us to move it. Amazing breakfast and dinner food quality, all homemade.

This is a wonderful guesthouse with friendly hosts and wonderful staff. We were very lucky to find this warm place during our trip to Iceland. And I booked on the day of check-in. They have thought of everything. They added a bed for the child. You can brew and drink delicious tea in the hall. There is also a hot spring and there are robes for it in the rooms. Secluded, quiet, wonderful breakfasts. We would like to come back again.

Our host was really welcoming, caring and informative. They took really seriously that every guest should feel like home and were proud of that they still give a classic guesthouse experience (of which they should).
