The property is super clean, beautifully kept, great rooms, a nice bar, two lovely pools and across the road to a beach. The staff are wonderful particularly the reception lady who was genuinely interested in your experience and fantastic at making your stay the best. It was my first solo holiday and I booked it by accident. What a Great accident! This trip has given me back the confidence to travel alone. The hotel is geared towards giving you the choice of making friends or enjoying your own company. The people were lovely and I ended up going on a great trip with them. There is a mixture of ages but of course its luck so just go with an open mind as I did. As someone who travels a lot alone but never to a solo hotel it was brilliant to be around like minded people who you could go places with. It’s a little outside of the town which was not a problem at all as it’s a short bus ride anywhere. There is a reason so many people go back and I definitely will as well!!! If you go with an open mind you will have a fantastic time!!!

Maria was fantastic, always very smiling and everyday she asked us if we were ok, and she wished us a pleasant day. The apartment was more than we expected, very fine shower and bed and very big refrigerator/freezer. The apartment and the hotel surroundings were very clean. Close to the Beach and a lot of restaurants closeby. Definitely a place we would like to visit again.

Everything except that it was too far from shopping. The food was excellent, the staff was great, the rooms clean.. The swimming pool was super. I have never seen sure a huge pool! Everything I see now doesn't measure up to the Euphoria Resort. They Are G R E A T!!

The breakfast was fantastic - always fresh, plenty of variety and local Cretan food always well represented. The food from Ouzaki was also very good. It's not allowed to 'reserve' sunbeds in this hotel - this is exactly as it should be! We never had a problem finding a spot at the pool or on the beach at any time of the day. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet which was exactly what we wanted. No loud music or parties. Just some light live music by the bar in the evenings which was fine. The room was spacious and comfortable. We were told on arrival that we had been upgraded, which was a lovely surprise. We visited the spa twice during our stay. It was a wonderful experience on both occasions. Staff at reception are exceptionally efficient, helpful and welcoming. The location of the hotel is ideal. The bus to and from Chania town passes right in front and the stop is just a few seconds walk. The surrounding area also has fantastic restaurants. We were spoiled for choice. Overall, we had a wonderful holiday and we hope that we will be lucky enough to visit again in the future!

Dimitris is truly a five-star host! We had the pleasure of staying in a marvelous place. The house was excellent—clean, comfortable, and very well equipped. The location was perfect: a peaceful heaven just 10 minutes from the center of Platanias and its beautiful beaches. Communication with Dimitris was excellent from the very beginning. He responded promptly to our initial inquiries, provided clear and detailed instructions before our arrival, and stayed in contact throughout our stay to ensure everything was going well. We highly recommend Elaida House to anyone seeking a relaxing and high-quality stay! Dimitris, thank you very much for this amazing experience. It was a pleasure meeting you and your family. Maria the receptionist was brilliant from the time of booking and throughout the stay. She provided alot of information on things to do and restaurants. She was friendly and provided a personal touch, an asset to the hotel. The hotel was modern, comfortable and clean and a great location to the beach. The room was spacious and had a well stocked kitchen, and the AC worked well. There is also free parking next door. They also provided beach towels and a beach bag. The hotel has a partnership with Mu Gusta restaurant where we had breakfast included and was a good start to the day. They also provided free sun loungers and umbrella. If we come to Chania again we would stay with Ostrakon Suites.
