The Morgan State House Inn is an elegantly restored 19th century building. It is located in the Washington Park Historic District and is close to many of Albany’s downtown attractions. Everything!! Comfortable bed. Good size room with a living room and full size kitchen. Room had all the basics, ironing board, iron etc.

The room decor was maybe a little dated but this was a very reasonably priced stay. Really nice bar which had a great atmosphere and warm, good service.

I loved the rustic charm. The property was very historic and stayed true to the history. There was beautiful artwork on the walls and beautiful antique furniture everywhere, including the rooms. There are no TVs in the rooms which, to me, was what I was looking for. They had board games, a big common table to eat at and a bar run on very informally. I felt like I was visiting family.
