The room was clean and spacious with a nice view on the hills and sea. Everything I needed was included. The queen sized bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and gluten-free options were available. It is worth the stay and I would come again.

It was very homely and the staff were very welcoming. We love the quietness of the area and the walks. The food in the pub/restaurant was excellent and the regulars were also very friendly.

Very pleasant room. Excellent bed and quality bedding - always makes a difference. We didn't eat there as we arrived late , but we had a drink and it is a truly lovely atmospheric old English inn. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely top class. I had scrambled egges on toast and there was practically too much, and my husband who is vegan enjoyed a cooked breakfast too. The coffee was so good I had to go back on the way home again (through Newhaven) to find out about their coffee and the machine they use! It was very well placed for coming off the Newhaven ferry late ( about 10.30pm - not sure if you could arrive after hours) and there is a huge car park ( rather dark!) I would definitely stay there again.
