Easy to find and a large car park opposite which was a welcome sight after a long drive. We had steak & chips and burger & chips in the pub. Both meals were delicious and a good size. Room was clean and comfortable and the en-suite was bigger than expected. Owners were welcoming and friendly and their dog is adorable!

Asked for early check-in for a wedding & they were happy to obliged, staff were extremely friendly & welcoming. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy, shower / water pressure was amazing. Breakfast was all local & fresh, lovely staff & very attentive

Everything went well. James and his staff are excellent. The restaurant serves daily specials and they also have a set menu. I found the food to be outstanding. The breakfast was made to order and it too was outstanding. I wholeheartedly recommend The Old Black Lion.

Very friendly owners / staff. Good value. Clear they are looking to maintain and upgrade the property. Great and quick communication. Travelled for work and with a baby, accommodated both well. Lots of parking and close to main local roads.
