Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, Kareekloof Game Farm offers accommodation in Derby. An informative game drive can be booked, subjected to weather conditions. Bring your own hiking shoes and mountain bike and explore the area. All rooms are self-catering with fully equipped kitchenettes, 2 plate gas-stoves, fridge and microwave oven, Outdoor patio, and garden furniture. Towels and basic amenities are provided and rooms are serviced once a day. Kareekloof Game Farm does not offer TV's within its accommodations. Guests have access to a shared lounge with satellite TV. Kareekloof Game Farm is owned by Leon and Annalize. We bought the farm in 2001 as a raw piece of land and developed it. We are now 15 years in the hospitality industry and love to meet new people. We like to share our knowledge about the animals, trees and birds with our guests. Although we will do anything in our power to let our guests have an unforgettable good time at Kareekloof Game Farm (Our 9,4 rating can testify about that), Peace and tranquility is our motto.. We are NOT a resort, and we are NOT a hotel. We are a farm stay destination. A real South African bushveld experience. Although you should book with us to come and relax in nature we do offer: • Game Drives at an additional cost • Bring your mountain bike for a challenging drive. • Bring your hiking and trail running shoes. • In the main lodge is a TV with DSTV for you to use. There are NO TV's in the chalets. No Wi-Fi. • Relax around the swimming pool. • Bring your camera and take nice photos of our rich bird life and insects. • Bring your binoculars and follow the birds. • Sitting around the campfire and let the flames take you to other places. • Stargazing – we have the most amazing nights with clear galaxy. Bring your own telescope. • Exclusive of errors, omissions, and misunderstandings. DISCLAIMER: NO LOUD MUSIC IS ALLOWED. Shouting and misbehavior will not be tolerated. Our beautiful Game Farm is characterized by dense bush, grass fields and splendid views of surrounding mountains and countryside. WE ARE NOT A RESORT NOR A HOTEL, but a farm stay destination. Please be assured! You will lack nothing. Our business is our pride and we strive to let our guests experience real South African hospitality. We offer different types of Accommodation: Self-catering Chalets, Country Weddings, Conference Facility, Functions, Reunions, Parties, Hiking and Nature Drives. Nature Drive A game drive is so much more that to just see animals. We do have giraffes, zebras, eland, blue wildebeest, blesbok, impala, kudu, waterbuck and many more antelope on our 1400ha game farm. We host many species of birds, trees and grass. But do not misreckon the small wildlife like dun beetle, different kinds of insects, hogs and many more. The beauty of nature is all her glory is to be watched from our open safari vehicle. The drives last for about 60 – 90 minutes. Early morning nature drive: 6h30 Late afternoon Nature drive: 16h30 Cost: R1150 per drive (Not per person. If there is one person on the vehicle the price is R1150, If there is 9 people on the vehicle the price is R1150) Drives are subjected to good weather conditions. Disclaimer: We cannot guarantee what you are going to see. The animals are roaming freely around. TV/WiFi/Cell phone network/Pets/Wood/Ice • Get disconnected from your electronic devices for your stay with us. You are now on a digital vacation. Let us call it a detox breakaway. • We do not have TV’s in the chalets or rooms. Spend quality time with your family. Loved ones and friends. • There is a Big Screen TV in the public lounge where you can watch TV or your football or rugby team. • The best is to download your preferred program on your device before visiting the farm. • We so not allow pets. We have dogs that helps us protect you from intruders and other. • We sell wood and ice. This is a farm stay and a bushveld experience!
