This riverside inn, less than one mile from the Whitefish city center, features a private yard and gardens. Free Wi-Fi is available in every room and within the fireside lounge. The different rooms of the Duck Inn Lodge all include air conditioning, cable TV and an alarm clock. Some rooms feature a fireplace or a balcony overlooking the gardens or river. A homemade breakfast is served each morning that may be enjoyed in-room, in the downstairs dining area or on the outside deck. A collection of movies and games is available in the lounge area. A computer with internet connection is also offered for guest use. The Duck Inn Lodge is 1 mile from the Whitefish Amtrak station and 2 miles from Whitefish Lake. Our Story began in January, 2016, with a fateful ski trip that we didn't yet know would change our collective lives. After a few days skiing fresh powder in this mecca of natural beauty, an article in Ski Magazine on the plane ride home sparked an idea. That idea turned into another trip, sparked a holiday conversation between two long time friends, and by September 2017, the vision formed on that fateful trip and this dream we call The Duck Inn Lodge became our reality. We are Tyler and Mark, the owners of The Duck Inn Lodge. We are long time friends who grew up Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and built a friendship through a mutual affection of ping pong, among other things. The third member of our team, Alyssa, is our Assistant Property Manager, and the three of us (in one combination or another) will be your hosts at this lovely place we call home. And of course we can't forget Becket, our Director of First Impressions, or some may say the friendliest pup you ever did meet (sorry folks, Becket doesn't allow other animals on the property). We can't wait to share the wonderland that is Whitefish and the Flathead Valley!

Our fifteen room inn is quaint and relaxing with beautiful, unique furnishings featuring a king bed, queen bed or queen/twin combo in the room. Our King Deluxe Patio room has a Jacuzzi tub for two with a river view. Most of our rooms offer a fireplace, balcony or patio with river or garden views and are all completely non-smoking. When you’re not in your room, our Fireside Lounge is the perfect place to settle down with a good book, play cards, Scrabble and share conversation. Or sit back within the cozy couches and enjoy the perfect place for a feature movie from our on-site video collection. Awaken to the aromas of fresh ground and brewed coffee, freshly baked selections with other healthy samplings made especially for you. A perfect start to be enjoyed in the privacy of your own room, downstairs in our dining area, or weather permitting, out on the deck in the sunshine.

We are situated on the bank of the Whitefish River in a mostly residential neighborhood, offering a peaceful setting within walking distance of the food, fun and shopping that the town of Whitefish offers just under a mile away. The airport is 15 minute drive, which gives guests easy access to the lodge after a long day traveling. Whitefish Mountain Resort, a top 10 nationally rated resort by some publications, is 7 miles away for Winter fun! Whitefish Lake offers water recreation all summer long and is just two miles from the property.
