For the avid fisherman or fisher woman, birder and hiker, the blue-ribbon native trout waters of the Metolius River offer great fishing and unparalleled scenic beauty and relaxation. Or you might want to swim at Camp Sherman, only 20 minutes away, and dip into pools in a bucolic mountain setting. For those visiting in the winter months, Bluegrass is just 20 minutes from skiing at HooDoo and only an hour from Mt. Bachelor, as well you’ll find miles and miles of trails and cross country skiing and snowmobiling within 10 minutes of the cabin! You can even start your hike or bike ride or cross country ski from the house – the Deschutes National Forest with its extensive network of trails, borders the property.
