A quirky 1942 classic beach cottage with all the modern conveniences that has been in my family since 1964 is just steps from the beach in a quiet neighborhood. Heads up for tall people, ceilings in the kitchen, downstairs bedroom and bathroom are lower than 6.5'. Downstairs has a fully stocked kitchen, a bedroom with a queen bed and a TV, laundry area, full bathroom with a tub/shower combo and a living room, with a TV. Upstairs you'll find 2 more bedrooms one with a full sized bed and the other with a queen bed and a TV, a bathroom with a shower, and a sunroom with a pull out couch TV, a desk, and game table. You can access the roof top deck from the 2nd floor or the exterior stairs where you'll find a dining area and lounge chairs. In the yard you'll find a bocce ball/corn hole court, a fire pit area with BBQ and a putting green, Under the outdoor stairs you'll find beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, and a beach umbrella. You'll also find an outdoor shower to rinse off after spending time at the beach. July 2021 to July 2022 stays - there is construction happening surrounding the property, the pricing has been adjusted down to reflect for this inconvenience.
I'm Susan and glad to be your host. I've spent a year restoring this beach house inside and out. It was a labor of love as it's been in my family since 1964. I'm so glad to be sharing gem with you, I'm available via phone and e-mail. While I live in California, Jacklyn is local to the property and is available to address any issues with the property.
The property is located in a quiet neighborhood. The neighbors are very friendly and will be sure to greet you as they are on their daily walks. The locals love to walk, run, bike, and scoot around the neighborhood. You'll also see many fun golf carts tooling around the neighborhood. There are several companies that rent bikes, scooters, and golf carts and will deliver then right to the house. There are great shops, restaurants, and attractions nearby. It's located 10 minutes from the Mayo clinic, 15 minutes from the TCP Sawgrass golf course, 30 minutes from historic St. Augustine to the south and Amelia Island is 40 minutes north, Savannah, GA., is 2 hours north, and Disney World is only 2.5 hours south. Very centrally location in South Jacksonville Beach, Trader Joe's, Publix, and Target are across the street and there is plenty of restaurants and shopping that are close by. Regarding weather, unless the National Weather Service has issued a mandatory evacuation for our area refunds will follow our cancellation policy. We highly recommend that you purchase cancel for any reason trip insurance to best protect your nonrefundable trip expenses.
