The Postman's Lodge on Vršič is situated just below the summit of Vršič at an altitude of 1688 meters. This charming cottage, which has been 80% renovated both inside and out, offers guests a peaceful and comfortable stay. The well-maintained surroundings provide a serene environment, perfect for relaxation. Located just a short distance from Slovenia's highest pass, Vršič, the house allows visitors to unwind in a tranquil setting away from the hustle and bustle of traffic. Guests can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi and a shoe dryer within the cottage. A rich and varied breakfast buffet is available each morning, ensuring a satisfying start to the day. Both children and adults will find entertainment in the selection of board games, and the cottage also features a collection of books on hiking and mountain adventures for those looking to further explore the natural beauty of the region. In addition, a restaurant is available for guests as well as other visitors, operating from 7 AM to 8 PM. The meals are prepared in a traditional manner, offering a taste of local cuisine. We are especially known for our excellent traditional Slovenian spoon dishes. The menu also caters to various dietary preferences, with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options available, ensuring everyone can enjoy a delicious and fulfilling meal after a day of exploring.
