The name of our house, Furnas Springs (RRAL 2819), is inspired by the mineral and thermal water springs of Furnas, considered by specialists to be the largest hydropolis in the world. Located in the center of Furnas, on the island of S. Miguel – Azores, just a few minutes walk from the beautiful park Terra Nostra (botanical garden and thermal waters) and the emblematic Puddle of D. Beija (thermal waters), the villa Furnas Springs, built in 2019, has two floors and can accommodate up to 5 people (two double bedrooms, on the first floor, and a convertible sofa, in the living room). On the ground floor, you will find an open space with a living room and a fully equipped kitchenette (induction hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, electric kettle and toaster). Outside, a patio where you can enjoy quiet moments and/or enjoy a special meal. If you prefer to prepare your meals, there are, just minutes away, several minimarkets and grocery stores where you can supply.

The option for Furnas allows you to enjoy a truly unique space. In addition to the hot water baths in the Terra Nostra Park (74 m – 1 min walk) or in the Puddle of D. Beija (550 m – 7 min walk), for example, the Villa Furnas Springs is located a few meters from several parks. If you like hiking, there are pedestrian trails you can discover. If you like golf, you have about 6 km away (8 minutes by car), the Furnas Golf Course. If you like the beach, you have, about 8 km (12 minutes by car), one of the best beaches of S. Miguel (Ribeira Quente). Do not forget the visit to the boilers (1.2 km-15 minutes on foot) and to Lagoa das Furnas (5 km-10 minutes by car). If you like green and nature, this is the perfect place for your holidays, any time of the year. Don't forget to eat the famous Furnas stew and the «bolos lêvedos» (a few meters from the house, they are sold, very fresh, every day).

In the vicinity of the house there is a football field which, on weekends, can be quite lively. The host warns of the possibility of increased traffic on the street and noise from football fans. During high season and Furnas being the ex-libris of S. Miguel, there are many tourists, tour buses and cars near the house. The host therefore warns of the possibility of increased noise due to the movement of people and vehicles in the immediate vicinity of the house. Our home is located in a hot and humid climate that is teeming with wildlife. Depending on the time of year and the weather conditions, guests may encounter mosquitoes, cockroaches, ants, spiders or other bugs. While we do utilize regular pest control services, we are unable to offer any guarantees against or refunds for the occasional bug that may make it inside our home. We do our best to prevent this from occurring and guests can help by keeping doors closed and disposing of trash and storing food in a responsible manner. For security and legal reasons we have to identify all guests (children included). This procedure is mandatory so we can send you the self check-in instructions and to be able to have you with us. To fill the required information (Portuguese Foreigners and Borders Service), our accommodation bulletin will be sent to the provided email sometime before check-in.
