I’m Aida, and for several years I’ve been dedicated to restoring and bringing new life to the traditional houses of Palas, a peaceful retreat in the mountains of Vinhais. Here I’ve created a special place where the tranquility of nature meets the comfort of homes restored with care and authenticity. The houses preserve the charm of schist and wood, yet are fully prepared to welcome those seeking rest, silence, and a genuine connection with the mountains. I love to share this unique place and welcome guests as if they were friends coming home.
Discover the charm of Palas and the region of Vinhais. Surrounded by the Montesinho Natural Park, it’s perfect for hiking, cycling, or simply enjoying the silence of the mountains. The Vinhais Biological Park is ideal for families and nature lovers, with trails, local flora and fauna, and panoramic viewpoints such as Ciradelha. In summer, the Tuela River and nearby natural pools invite refreshing swims and picnics. Vinhais’ historic center reveals its castle, pillory, churches, and traditional streets, while the Interpretive Center of the Pig and Smoked Meats celebrates one of the region’s most famous traditions. Picturesque villages nearby preserve the authentic Transmontano style.
