The newly renovated 4-star Hotel Baía Azul is ideally situated a 4-minute walk from Funchal’s beachfront. It offers 3 swimming pools, 3 restaurants, a Spa and a sun deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the gardens. The hotel is composed of 215 bedrooms with sea-inspired décors, all fitted with an en suite bathroom with bath amenities and a hairdryer. Each room features a flat-screen cable TV, a minibar, a kettle and a safe deposit box. Free WiFi access is provided in all rooms and common areas. At each of the three on-site restaurants, guests will find distinctive ambiences. The Atlantic restaurant serves themed buffets, while the Ocean restaurant serves an à la carte menu with gourmet dishes based on products from the region and the Sal restaurant is specialized in Italian Cuisine. Light meals and refreshing drinks can be found at the Blue Bar, by the outdoor swimming-pool. The Hotel Baía Azul offers a Spa with an indoor heated pool, a gym, a steam bath, a sauna a relaxation room and 2 massage rooms, where guests can unwind after an active day. The Baía Azul is just over 3 km from the centre of Funchal and a regular courtesy bus operates daily between the town and Hotel. It is 300 metres to the nearest shops, bars and restaurants in Forum Madeira.
