Meet Your Host – Janez
Born in Slovenia, I have a deep passion for travel and exploration, having visited 73 countries worldwide. Experiencing different cultures, cuisines, and traditions is what fuels my curiosity. Cooking is my passion, and I love bringing flavours from around the world into my kitchen.
I’ve lived in Munich, London, and Slovenia, which has shaped my open-minded and adventurous spirit. I speak Slovenian, English, Croatian, and German, and I’m slowly learning Portuguese with my Brazilian girlfriend - an exciting new challenge!
I believe in the "work hard, play hard" philosophy and enjoy surrounding myself with positive and inspiring people. I look forward to welcoming you and making your stay a memorable experience! 😊
The historic Old Town of Wroclaw:
Without any doubt, the historic old town of Wroclaw is the main tourist attraction and it's where Monjan Flat is located. The beautiful colourful tenement houses and the magnificent town hall building are shaping one of the largest market squares in Europe. Visiting Wroclaw, this part of the city (Stare Miasto in Polish) is an absolute must see and can‘t be missed by anyone.
It is the most central part of Wroclaw and although there are plenty of hotels and apartments in the city centre, we would recommend you to stay directly in the old town. Why? Because you will get more value for your money when you stay just on the heart of the city, 5 minutes walk to the RYNEK - Square Marquet.
The Four Denomination District:
In the Four Denomination District, which sometimes is referred to as the Four Temple District or the District of Mutual Respect, you will find yourself in the centre of religion, culture and nightlife. Four different religions living peacefully so close together is definitely something very remarkable.
Apart of the religions you will find some of the best restaurants in Wroclaw, amazing craftbeer pubs, vibrant clubs and amazing breakfast places here. Not to forget the Neon Side Gallery, a graveyard for old neon signs.
We believe it is a great area to visit in Wroclaw – after a night out you can just fall asleep within minutes. Of course all main sights like the city centre are within walkable distance, the market square is just around 5 minutes away.
Cathedral Island:
This is where it all started and Wroclaw was founded. Certainly one of the most beautiful parts of the city along with the historic old town is the Cathedral Island, a sight that is impossible to ignore in your itinerary.
The Centennial Hall
One of the most impressive landmarks in Wroclaw is the Centennial Hall. It is located east from the city centre and can easily be reached by public transport.
Enjoy your stay in Wroclaw !!!
