Nestled within the golden dunes of Oman's Sharqiya Sands (previously known as Wahiba Sands), Nomadic Desert Camp is run by a local Bedouin family and one of the first established in the region. Our barasti huts and sitting areas are built from palm-tree leaves and other natural resources. Lighting is provided by candle light and solar energy, making Nomadic Desert Camp a unique and environmentally friendly retreat to experience authentic desert life. Each barasti hut comes with comfortable twin beds and bedding, with shared al fresco showers and toilets available for use. In the evening, we welcome guests to join us around the camp fire for Omani tea and unspoiled views of the night sky.
Please note that the camp can only be reached by 4x4. Guests may book a transfer from Al Wasil to the camp at an additional point.
Guests are required to show a photo ID and valid Oman visa upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
