“A very hospitable welcome! Our room was called dolphin and had a superb view of the Mountains and the sea, we woke up to a sprinkling of snow on the mountains that was just magical. Also the breakfast was amazing!”

After travelling extensively, Mick and Karen, originally from the North of England, settled in New Zealand to marry and raise their 2 children. They took over Nikau Lodge in November 2020, located in what they consider a very special place, where the mountains meet the sea.... Kaikoura.​ They enjoy meeting guests and exchanging travel stories over breakfast. They, (and Jazz the dog) look forward to welcoming you to Nikau Lodge.
