The facilities in the apartment are for guests travelling for business or leisure. The separate areas for cooking, relaxing and sleeping makes the apartment a real house and even allows the possibility of inviting guests yourself . The apartment is the original living of , what used to be, a shop downstairs. This is why the kitchen is a real kitchen and not a small area, and the livin and bedroom are two separate rooms. The toilet comes downstairs as it used to be in houses of this age. Please note that therefore this apartment is not suitable for guests who have difficulties. The garden is big enough to park your "rental" bike. In the accomodation is also plenty of information about renting bikes, but also lots of information about restaurants, musea and things to do in and outside Leiden, like Amsterdam, Zaanse Schans, the Keukenhof etc. etc.
We like to make our guest feel free but give them all the comfort and service at the same time. We love it when guests tell us storys about there countries at home and way of living. Sometimes even from homes at the other site of the world. atvtne same time we also offer the guest all the privacy they need and like to have, starting with their own private key from the front door. The wide variety of nationalities and habits, makes it for us so valuable and special doing this. Officialy running this apartment is work but we feel it as our hobby. We love doing it. Our own familly counts 3 persons. We , Piet and Carla, the parents and our son Olav. Own of our hobbies is cooking. It sometimes happened that we tasted a bit of the the meals together with our guest so we could learn from our each's others traditional cuisine. Things like that happend and were never planned.
