We are situated only 15km outside Kamanjab on the gravel road no 3248. This road is the country route to and from Etosha and Damaraland for those who love driving on a gravel country road. Easy acsessible in the rainy season. The property is fenced in to keep cattle, sheep and game away from the lawn. You will be staying in a huge free standing farm house with braai facilities. Free wood will be supplied. You have a fully equipped kitchen with a gasstove and a fridge/freezer. Warm water for bathing will be made by us with a wood stove called a "donkey" here in Namibia. Fresh drinking water comes from our own well and elicrticity is generated by solar. There is a big open garden for the kids to run and play with our farm dogs if you should wish to do so. Experience the sounds of farmlife with utter silence at night with the occasional call of jackal and owls. Complete darkness at night to appreciate the stars of the southern hemisphere.
Happy to meet guests from all over the world we are 4th generation farmers living in our beloved Namibia. Gaby is Namibian German origin and Steyn a descendent of the afrikaner Dorsland trekkers whose ancestors fled the Anglo boer war and relocated by ox wagon in 1880 to Angola. The Labuschagne family came to Southwest Africa by crossing the Kunene on 21 January 1929. We have two daughters and a sweet grand daughter who live in Windhoek. Our income depends on the weather and the rainy season. We are cattle and sheep farmers and love living independently and near to nature
Rural farm area. Our nearest neighbours live 7km away. We are situated 15km outside Kamanjab. Otjitotongwe Cheetah farm is our eastern neighbour about 10km away. West are the Peet Alberts Rock engravings also about 10km away. Many tourists drive past us to or from the Etosha National park passing the old farm school Biermanskool about 20km away. Kamanjab is the gateway to either Damaraland, Torrabay and Terrace bay over the Grootberg to the West coast and the Skeleton coast park. You can also driver north to Ovamboland and the Ruaca Waterfall and the boarder to Angola. When you drive South through Kamanjab you are on the gravel road to Hentiesbay via Khorixas and Uis passing the Brandberg with the White lady rock painting.
