The nearest white sand beach is Playa Payucan 8.6km and 11 minutes south. The nearest major Mayan ruin is Edzna 78km ( 1 hour) west. Two of the most renowned Mayan ruins are Uxmal 148km (2 hours 16 minutes to the north) and Calakmul 227km (4 hours to the South East). Charter fishing is available from the main warf in Campeche, 28km - half an hours drive north along the coast road with Tarpon Bay Fishing.
