The 120 year old house situated in Mihiripenna, Unawatuna in the Galle District was renovated into a spacious luxury Villa with a swimming pool and picturesque garden. The Villa consists of 3 Air conditioned Bedrooms and attached bathrooms with hot water facilities. In addition to an Attic with comfortable sleeping arrangements, the upper deck of the Villa hosts an airy TV Lounge and mini Library for relaxing. The Villa comes with an in house cook and can house 8 persons only.
What began as a Retirement Plan on the completion of my long carrier with the Srilanka Army and venturing out to the private sector ending with MAS Apparels , my purchasing of the Colonial styled hose in Galle in 2018 has blossomed into a family venture created with love and care. Opened in 2019 after a passionate renovation and refurbishment the Old classical Era home now stands in all its glory adorned with luxury interior and style. The place is filled with brightness , warmth and a new rich energy for the perfect tropical dream holiday and a place for you to relax and rejuvenate in secure seclusion with plenty of colour and nature sounds of the birds and a one off visit by peacocks in the vicinity. ‘The Blues’ offers you an unforgettable stay set amidst pristine nature and natural beauty of a picturesque garden view a treat to delight your eyes and mind . We cater to a truly authentic local Culinary experience while extending our warm Srilankan hospitality for a memorable stay in Galle .
Located a 130 km southwest of Colombo is the fortified city of Galle that was founded and built by the Portuguese Colonists in the 1502 who introduced the early European Renaissance style to Sri Lanka. After the Portuguese, the Dutch occupied this region of Sri Lanka in 1640 instilling some of the still surviving monuments of their time like the Galle Light House and the Dutch Fort which are UNESCO sites today. It was once an old trading port with impressive Dutch colonial buildings, mansions and museums and continues to be a buzzing tourist destination with the inter mingling of the old colonial-built structures and the modern-day cafes and hotels. Other attractions in and around Galle include the Dutch Reformed Church which was built by the Dutch and preserved by the British when they took over Galle in 1796.
