Well placed amongst hotels in Chilaw, Coco Village Hotel is tucked away along a beautiful, 3 acre Coconut Estate with Organic Farm next to the local village, 66 km North of Colombo International Airport. Merely a 20 minutes’ drive from the city, the hotel makes for a desirable base from which to embark on a leisure excursion in the region, exploring prominent attractions such as Muthurajawela Marsh, Cultural Triangle, Anavilundawa Ramsar Wetland and the scenic coastal town of Negombo.

I am a National Tourist Guide Lecturer and own Coco Village Hotel in Chilaw, I have felt honored to introduce visitors to the wonders of Sri Lanka from ancient archeological sites to our national parks and tropical beaches offering an amazing range of activities including local life of Sri Lanka. I am happy to design your personal journey according to your interest and budget and guide you either as a private tour guide, or along with my team of professional drivers for larger groups. I know my country like the back of my hand and love showing visitors our national treasures and sharing our culture.

Cool to the point of being somewhat cold in the early mornings and night, the mist gives way to the rays of the sun providing a warm invigorating atmosphere for most of the year. The rainy season is between October & December which brings welcome rains to both the animals & farmers alike. The warm gentle breezes that flow throughout the year is what makes Chilaw so special. Getaway from the heat of the city and experience the tranquility and calm that only the CoCo Village Hotel can provide. A tropical climate prevails in this part of the country but temperatures are known to range between 33 – 38 degrees Celsius during the months of January to April. The area is also subjected to high levels of rainfall which occur between October to December. Temperature generally subsides during this time as the city has been known to receive in excess of 250mm of rainfall within the above specified time frame. Hotels
