Ardeen Villa, located in Ranna, Tangalle has direct access to the Kahandamodara beach 30 meters away. Built on one acre of prime beachfront land it has two large 42 sqm bedrooms with sea view and a family suite of 45 sqm. All rooms have AC and ensuites. The villa can accommodate up to 8 guests, The double rooms each has a king bed for 2. The family suite can accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids. Each extra bed costs USD 40. The rooms lead to a large dining and lounge area with an indoor courtyard. There is a separate large games or entertainment room for the kids to relax. The swimming pool is located 15 meters away. The gardens are beautifully landscaped with a manicured lawn, fragrant frangipani, water lilies, mango and coconut trees and rare natural fauna and vegetation make it a hidden gem ensconced midst the serenity of nature. The lounge area provides a magnificent view of the ocean and pool. Meals can be taken indoors or outside in the cabana right on the beach or in the cabana near the BBQ. The furniture is traditional teak wood with the walls adorned with original paintings of budding local artists. The staff quarters are 20 meters away on the premises. Guests staying for 7 nights get (a) free airport pick up OR drop off travelling together (b) free wash only laundry service (c) option to buy your own groceries and use the free services of the chef to prepare your meals. Where this option is exercised, the villa does not provide free breakfast except the first breakfast on the day after arrival. We arrange tours and transportation to places of interest. The entire outer boundary is fenced and with CCTV not affecting guests privacy. A private driveway from the main road takes you to the villa. Guests coming from Russia and unable to use their credit cards or make online wire transfers in USD are welcome to pay us on arrival in Euro dollar or USD or LKR cash notes. We accept USD, Euro dollar and LKR cash notes as well as Mastercard and Visa.

Lunch or dinner is priced from USD 10-14 per person per meal with vegetarian, kids, light lunches, snacks, soups, entrees, salads and deserts priced at USD 6-8. The villa is for the sole use of the resident guests. We do not sell liquor but guests can bring their own supplies for consumption. No charge for corkage. We recommend you bring your own favorite spirits and wines as they might not be readily available as well as more expensive. Sri Lankan beer and Rockland Gin made in Sri Lanka are very popular with our guests, inexpensive and recommended. Our staff are friendly but always respect your privacy. We have a resident manager on site who is available to assist you with your needs. If you need assistance with transport to the many attractions in the area, we arrange it with outside transport owners with special rates which you can avail yourself of. For those who want to be active inhouse, volleyball, beachball, badminton, angling, kite flying, swimming, walking tours, cycling, boat rides, fishing trips, canoeing, card games and other kids games will keep you busy. A wash only laundry service is available. Guests do their own ironing. A nominal charge of USD 50 cents per piece applies. The villa is like no other and the ambience indoors and outdoors is just great. You experience paradise staying here and appreciate the beauty and tranquility that nature has given us.

For nature lovers there are many interesting places to visit. One can take a boat ride at the popular Kalametiya Bird Sanctuary which is 3 kilometres away or the Kahandamodara lagoon 400 meter from the villa which is the natural habitat of over 60 species of birds. Kayaking on the Rekawa lagoon 10 minutes away or visiting the turtle beach at dusk will give you immense joy and bliss. The lagoon also has monkeys, rock squirrels, polecats, mongoose, moose deer and other small mammals that have made it their home. Day trips to the two largest and most famous game reserves, Yala and UdaWalawe can be undertaken from the villa. A drive to Yala takes 2 hours and Udawalawe 80 minutes where elephant, leopard, bear, deer, wild boar, crocodiles and other mammals and bird life can be sighted. The famous Bundala Bird Sanctuary is a 80 minute drive. Dolphin and whale watching is popular and transport can be arranged for a half or full day trip to these locations. The UNESCO listed Heritage City of Galle Fort. A visit to Galle will be a highlight of your visit. It can be reached within an hour. There are a number of surf and bathing beaches nearby in Tangalle, Mawella, Polhena, Mirissa, Dikwella and Weligama and Ahangama where you will see the stilt fishermen catching fish in the ancient traditional way. Go to Unawatunne beach and swim with the turtles. Boat rides and fishing trips of interest to anglers are arranged to the Kalametiya Fisheries Harbour. The eighteen hole International Golf Resort is a 20 minute drive. Turtle beach is a 15 minute drive where turtles are seen laying their eggs on the beach. A day trip ( 2.5 hours) to the scenic hill town of Ella famous for its waterfalls, tea plantations, nine arches railway bridge, trekking to Little Adams Peak and exploring the mountains and rolling valleys is another highlight not to be missed.
