Located in the Kurokawa hot-spring area, Yamabiko Ryokan offers public indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and some rooms with mountain or river views. Free Wi-Fi is available at the public area and guests can request relaxing massages for an extra cost. JR Aso Train Station is a 1-hour drive away. The air-conditioned rooms feature a flat-screen TV, a fridge and a private toilet. Guests can choose to stay in rooms with tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding or in rooms with Western beds. Bathrooms are shared. Local products can be purchased at the souvenir shop and free parking is on-site. Guests can refresh in the sauna rooms and play table tennis after a long bath. Ryokan Yamabiko is a 5-minute drive from Meotodaki Falls and a 20-minute drive from Kuju Forest Park Ski Resprt. Kumamoto Airport is about a 70-minute drive away.
