Oyado Tamaya is a whole house rental inn located in a quiet residential area near Nagaoka Zokei University. It is a small inn of 56㎡ built in 1981, but renovated into a retro and pop Japanese style, with retro game machines, mahjong, kotatsu, etc. Please enjoy a unique and retro time away from the hustle and bustle. The Shinano River flows near the inn, and you can enjoy riverside running as well as the Nagaoka Fireworks, one of Japan's three largest fireworks displays, in summer with great intensity. TAMAYA is located in the center of Nagaoka City, where you can visit a mall, art museum, botanical park, sake brewery, famous ramen restaurant, and a major gym, all of which you can visit with your family or by yourself. It is close to an expressway IC, and long-term discounts are available, making it the perfect base for your trip to Niigata. In addition, there are bicycle parking facilities and security cameras in the parking lot (1 large and 1 medium-sized vehicle allowed). ✩We also lend out toys and baby bedding for small children! Please make a request at the time of reservation. Currently from July 10th a maximum of 6 people (two bedrooms) can be booked. Please note that only 4 people can be booked before July 10th.

I am a mother of two children in my 30s who has lived in Nagaoka City for several years and live with my family and one black cat. I love Nagaoka City because it is a lot of nature such as ocean, mountains, rivers, and firefly and there are museums, fireworks, and large parks, making it a very comfortable place to live with chill Japanese life. I have recently started keeping killifish, and I am thinking about having them at the inn eventually. I wiling to add things that I think would be nice to have from the perspective of a housewife (and sometimes from that of a business traveler hasband).
