Set among Nikko’s peaceful forests and mountains, Nikko Park Lodge Mountain Side offers homely accommodation with free Wi-Fi just steps from hiking trails. It is 10 minutes from Tobu Nikko Station on the free shuttle (available 15:00-17:00). Rooms at Mountainside Nikko Park Lodge feature large windows with forest views. Both private rooms with a private bathroom and dormitory rooms with shared baths and toilets are available. Nikko Toshogu Shrine is 2.5 km from the hotel, and JR Nikko Train Station is 1.5 km away. Urushi Museum, with displays of Japanese lacquerware, is 300 metres away. Natural hot-spring baths are only a 5-minute walk away. Hotel Nikko Mountain Side Lodge features a lounge with several guitars, a DVD player and a library of sightseeing information. Area tours are available for groups of 6 or more, for a fee. English-speaking staff are available. Breakfast and dinner are served at the dining room.
