Just a 5-minute walk from the Happo-One Ski Lifts, the completely non-smoking Hakuba Yamano Hotel offers a hot-spring bath and ski facilities. It was rated #1 on TripAdvisor 2009 for hotels in Hakuba. Rooms have free WiFi, an LCD TV and a private bathroom with bath. Hakuba Yamano Hotel offers both spacious Western-style rooms and Japanese rooms with a tatami (woven-straw) floor and traditional futon bedding. All rooms are simply furnished and soundproofed, with an electric kettle and slippers. The hotel is 1.5 km from Hakuba Bus Station and 3 km from JR Hakuba Train Station. A shuttle runs between the hotel and both stations. On-site parking is free. You can unwind with a massage after a day on the slopes, or enjoy the heat of the sauna. A ski drying room, free-use internet terminal and coin launderette are on site. Either a breakfast buffet or a set breakfast is served. For dinner, original Western-style cuisine is on offer. An advance reservation is required.
