Villa Britannia is an exclusive historical home in Taormina centre . The building has been recently refurbished with vintage, designer and antique furniture and most of the the wall art and sculptures are made locally. You are not only sleeping in a authentic Sicilian Villa, but also living within an art space, throughout an important historical heritage. The building, hosting an ancient Roman soldier tomb in its garden, is indeed the neighbour villa to where the famous writer D.H Lawrence and Truman Capote lived Villa Britannia is also an ideal place for those with a love of food and wine; we organise throughout the week cooking lessons, Sicilian wine tastings, aperitif, evenings with locals, and more. We want you to feel at home but experience and taste a true side of Sicily.

Hello, Im Louisa the property owner and Manager of Villa Britannia , fortunate to be half Taorminese / Sicilian on my farthers side and half British . I have been living in Taormina for the past 15 years and my partner and I manage Villa Britannia , for us our job is to share our love for Taormina , Sicily and at the same time feel comfortable and taken care of in a Sicilian home . Villa Britannia is a special place where comfort , art , food , history and culture is all linked.

Villa Britannia enjoys a stunning position; away from the traffic of cars and tourists who crowd Corso Umberto daily, but at the same time so close to the old town to allow you to explore the city and monuments on foot. 10 minutes walk to reach Corso Umberto, the Greek Theatre, as well as the cable car stations and bus station, linking Taormina to Isola Bella and Mazzarò beach,as well as to other main Sicilian destinations. To reach Villa Britannia, from Porta Messina follow Via Cappuccini and then Via Fontana Vecchia, before dropping down to Piazza Franz Pagano. 100 meters ahead on your right , in Via Francesco Atenasio 18, you’ve reached your destination.
