Fino del Monte is a small village of about 1,100 inhabitants that stands on the Clusone plateau along the provincial road that leads from this centre of the Upper Seriana Valley to the Presolana Pass. Perched on the ridge overlooking the Borlezza Valley, it was served in ancient times by the road coming from Lovere that climbed laboriously up to the village on the plateau. Today, the road situation has totally changed, as the provincial road coming from Bergamo, after Clusone and Rovetta, passes through the centre of Fino del Monte, whose houses in the old town centre wind along the main road axis. The road cuts through the village square, where on one side stand the castle and on the other the ancient convent, linked to each other in the history of the village.
