A fully restored country villa in Abruzzo, near the town of Lanciano in the village of Castel Frentano. The property sleeps 10. A 4 bedroom (all with aircon), 3 bathroom house with private pool that is set within 1/3rd of an acre overlooking the village of Castel Frentano. 15 minutes from the unspoilt Adriatic Sea and 45 minutes from Roman ski resorts. This house has been totally renovated to the highest standard with all modern facilities including aircon & wifi internet access. The house sits overlooking the hill village of Castel Frentano with its bars, shops and cafes, where it is possible to relax and get a taste of real Italian life.
Tony is an early 60s retired sales director from Chester UK. Lynne, now retired, was an interior designer with her own business. We bought the house in 2004 and spent 18 months doing it up. We are married with two young daughters, now at university, Kate aged 24 and Megan aged 22.
We wanted to buy a house in an undiscovered part of Italy & Abruzzo really fitted the bill. You can literally go 2 weeks without hearing anyone else speaking English. The scenery is just fantastic, not quite as rolling as Tuscany, but all the bright colours you expect of Italy in summer. The beaches are some of the best in Italy (Rough guide 2013) & having travelled to many different areas in Italy since buying the house, we always think that Abruzzo is just the best all round. Having the mountains 30 minutes one way and the coast 20 minutes the other is what we always wanted & we've got it. Siamo molto fortunati! PLEASE NOTE THIS HOUSE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR LARGE GROUPS OF SINGLE SEX GUESTS. IT IS A QUIET RURAL LOCATION. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT THIS TYPE OF BOOKING.
